About Tara
Adopt Tara, a fun-loving young rescue dog who is full of affection, personality, and enthusiasm for life. Friendly, intelligent, and always eager to be involved, Tara is looking for a forever family who can match her energy and give her the love she craves.
Tara first appeared at a local resort one day completely on her own. Nobody knew exactly where she had come from, but it was clear she hadn’t simply wandered there by accident. We suspect that someone had attempted to leave her elsewhere and that, like many clever dogs, she had made her way back towards an area where people could help her.
The resort where Tara was found sits close to the jungle, and we believe she may have travelled through the surrounding area before arriving there. Despite being alone, she was remarkably confident and immediately sought out human attention. Rather than keeping her distance, Tara made it clear that she wanted to be around people and was more than happy to make new friends.
As we learned more about her, we discovered that Tara was likely part of a litter connected to other Burmese-owned dogs living on the island. While her exact history remains unknown, one thing quickly became obvious: Tara had an enormous capacity for love and was desperate to be part of a family.
When she arrived at the rescue, Tara settled in almost immediately. She approached every new experience with curiosity and enthusiasm and quickly became a favourite among volunteers. She has always been a dog who wants to be involved in whatever is happening around her. Whether it’s helping with morning walks, greeting visitors, supervising cleaning duties, or simply following people around the rescue, Tara likes to be part of the action.
Tara is still a young dog, and she approaches life with all the excitement and energy that comes with youth. She loves to play, explore, and investigate everything around her. She is incredibly intelligent and enjoys learning new things. She already knows how to sit and wait patiently for treats and has even mastered giving a paw when asked.
One of Tara’s favourite things is spending time with her dog friends. She gets on particularly well with Charlie, whose calm and easy-going personality provides a nice balance to her youthful enthusiasm. The two enjoy spending time together and often relax in each other’s company.
When she’s feeling playful, Tara can often be found racing around with Lily and Amber. The three girls love chasing each other, playing games, and burning off energy together. Watching them run and play is a daily reminder of how much joy dogs can find in the simplest moments.
Tara generally gets on very well with other dogs, although like many young dogs, she occasionally needs reminding about boundaries and appropriate behaviour. Her enthusiasm can sometimes get the better of her, but she responds well to guidance and continues to mature as she gains more life experience.
She is also incredibly affectionate with people. Tara thrives on human interaction and loves attention. Whether it’s receiving cuddles, joining someone for a walk, or simply sitting nearby while people go about their day, she is happiest when she feels included.
Tara is fully vaccinated, healthy, and ready to find a family of her own. She would thrive in a home where she can continue her training, enjoy regular exercise, and be included as part of everyday life. Because she is still young, she will benefit from consistency and ongoing guidance, but she is eager to learn and has all the qualities needed to become an exceptional companion.
Like so many rescue dogs, Tara simply needs someone willing to give her a chance. In return, she will offer endless affection, loyalty, laughter, and companionship.
After waiting patiently for her forever home, Tara is ready to begin the next chapter of her life. Could you be the person who gives this wonderful young dog the future she deserves?
