Spend time with the dogs of Koh Koh Pups
We welcome volunteers from around the world to experience life at Koh Koh Pups while helping care for the rescue dogs who call the sanctuary home. Volunteers play an important role in providing exercise, enrichment, socialization, cleaning, feeding support, and daily care for the dogs.
Whether you stay for a week or longer, your time and energy directly help improve the lives of the animals in our care.
Minimum Stay & Commitment
To provide consistency and stability for the dogs, we ask volunteers to commit to a minimum stay of two weeks.
During that time, volunteers are expected to assist with:
- A minimum of 5 morning walking shifts
- At least 2 afternoon socializing sessions
Morning walks are especially important as they help provide the dogs with exercise, structure, enrichment, and socialization.
Accommodation
Free volunteer accommodation may be available depending on current capacity and scheduling. Availability changes throughout the year, so accommodation cannot always be guaranteed.
We’ll always do our best to help volunteers find suitable options during their stay on Koh Tao.

Life at a rescue can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be physically and emotionally demanding. We ask volunteers to arrive with:
- A positive attitude
- Reliability and commitment
- Respect for the dogs, staff, and fellow volunteers
- A willingness to get involved and help where needed
Above all, we want volunteers who genuinely care about animal welfare and want to contribute to improving the lives of rescue dogs.
